Detalhes
Criado: 29 janeiro 2019
Atualizado em 29 janeiro 2019

The 2019 CILECT Congress at Russian State University of Cinematography n.a. S. Gerasimov (VGIK), Moscow, Russia (6-12 October 2019) will incorporate a conference under the title.

DRAMATURGY & MEDIA

One of the fundamental problems in contemporary media communication is the under development of a quality storytelling taking into account the new media’s nonlinear heteromorphic interactive character. This problem also refers directly to the future of cinema which already attempts to create a virtual space where the viewer is either a film character or someone who can influence the story unravelling. Understanding the challenges of teaching dramaturgy to a generation that already lives in a meta-communication world is a priority.

Possible Discussion Topics:

• New principles: interactivity, hypertextuality, nonlinearity, intertextuality, etc.

• New genres: hybrid films, vlogs, “do-it-yourself” (DIY), “film from scratch”, interactive cinema, video for cell phones, computer games, etc.

• New characters & the human being design

• New script formats

Besides the Keynote Speakers and invited guests, there will be PANELS where schools could present contributions in the following categories:

1. Theoretical Presentations

Duration: 30 mins

2. Practice-related activities: workshops, case studies, exhibitions and screenings

Duration: 60-90 mins

All proposals must include:

• An abstract of up to 200 words that describes the content and form of the presentation or activity

• A short bio of the proposer up to 100 words
