Independent Film Centre “Filmart” would like to invite you to apply for 11th International Student Film Camp “Interaction 2016” and 6th International Documentary Masterclass “Interdoc 2016”.
11th INTERNATIONAL STUDENT FILM CAMP “INTERACTION 2016“
Serbia, 12th - 29th August, 2016
What is Interaction? For the past ten years “Interaction“ has gathered students of film schools from all over the world who, during their three-week stay in the western part of Serbia, shoot documentary films. During this year’s camp, 15 participants divided into three crews will shoot three documentary films on a given topic.
Who can apply? Your application will be taken into consideration if you study film production, directing, cinematography, sound design or editing, have taken part in production of a documentary film, speak English fluently.
And more … During a ten-year camp realization, there were 189 participants from 47 countries and from 86 film schools. Also, 38 documentaries were shot, 8 of which were awarded with 10 different prizes all over the world.

CALL FOR ENTRIES 2016!
Submissions for the 24th Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival, taking place from 9 to 17 of July 2016, are ongoing.
You can apply with new short films produced in 2015 or 2016; within the duration limit of 60 minutes (unless exceptions below) ; film (35 or 16 mm), DCP or video file.
You can submit your new films in the following competitions:
- International (fiction, documentary and animation);
- Portuguese (Portuguese films of fiction, documentary and animation);
- Experimental (films that defy narrative and technical conventions);
- Music Videos (music videos from portuguese artists/producers);
- Curtinhas (films for kids until 30 minutes);
- Take One (productions until 30 minutes by Portuguese film students).

Focalizando-se nas relações entre pais e filhos acerca dos dependências e nos métodos de prevenção e partilha de informação que os pais desenvolvem para abordar este tema com os seus filhos, o Concurso de Vídeo tem por objectivo a criação de vídeos por parte dos Jovens Alunos que ajudem a incrementar a consciência dos adultos sobre a problemática do consumo abusivo de drogas, mostrando potenciais formas de prevenir o seu consumo.
Os temas incluídos na mensagem geral do Concurso de Vídeo podem focar-se (mas não limitar-se) em:
· Ideias e conselhos das crianças sobre como podem os pais ajudá-las a levar um estilo de vida de sobriedade;
· Que acções podem os pais desenvolver para ajudar a promover a sobriedade;
· Como promover a abertura de canais de comunicação nas famílias para discussão dos temas de consumo e dependência de drogas;
· Como promover a abertura e afectividade nas relações familiares

Submit your short film on a legal, justice, or human rights theme to the FOLCS International Short Film Competition today!
Have an opinion on the legal system? On what "true justice" means? Is there a court case or a human rights issue you feel passionate about? Now is your chance to share it through the FOLCS International Short Film Competition, a competition dedicated to filmmakers exploring the matters of law and justice in our society.
“Legal theme" may be broadly construed. Entrants are free to choose any subject in which the relationship between law, justice, and society can be fashioned into a unique visual story. For example, films could be about rights that have been denied, harms that have gone unaddressed, the aftereffects of courtroom decisions, government regulations and statutes, or an attempt to take a new look at what “justice” really means.
Any genre is permitted. Films should run no more than 20 minutes.

Residence du Festival – CALL FOR ENTRIES
Applications for the fall session 2016 are open!
Deadline for submission: April 1, 2016
The selection is open to young filmmakers from all over the world who are working on their first or second feature film (fiction project only). A jury selects 6 candidates for each of the two four-and-a-half-month sessions per year.
The candidates are selected on the strength of the short films or the 1st feature that they have already directed as well as on their planned feature and the reasons why they wish to participate in the Residence’s programme.

Entries are open for the 6th edition of the BAFTA Qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival, one of the UK’s leading short film festivals and most exciting cinematic events. ASFF supports emerging filmmakers and presents many opportunities for industry engagement.
