Candidaturas para observadores até dia 6 de Setembro
O Lisbon Docs disponibiliza alguns lugares para profissionais sem projecto mas que pretendem seguir o seminário e assistir às sessões de workshop e pitching dos 24 projectos seleccionados.
Para se candidatar a observador, basta enviar até dia 6 de Setembro para lisbondocs@apordoc.org:
- currículo profissional e/ou académico;
- carta de motivação.
A participação enquanto observador tem um custo de €250. Os sócios da APORDOC e membros da EDN usufruem de um desconto de 20%.
O Lisbon Docs realiza-se de 17 a 22 de Outubro na Culturgest.

The new regular submission deadline for applications to the CINEIMPACT Film Summer Academy dedicated to Art and Social Cinema is August 20th.
The academy will take place between 03-18 September in Romania – Campulung Muscel. 12 international participants will split into teams to develop their film ideas during the two week adventure, under the guidance of three tutors: Ger Duizjings, Vintilă Mihăilescu, Ionuţ Piţurescu. During the field research, development, production and post-production of the films, the participants will be inspired by master-classes held by invited experts. The film crews will be supported by production assistants with deep knowledge of the investigated area.
The final event of the International Film Summer Academy will award the best films with prizes amounting to 4000 Euro.
One of the 6 films produced in the previous edition - “Pattern or Not (Şablon sau nu)”, Dorottya Balczo (director and cinematographer) & Andra Nedelcu (director and visual artist) - was successfully selected and propelled to participate in one of the sections dedicated to short film (SFC) at Cannes Film Festival 2016.

Between the 3rd and 18th of September 2016, you have the chance to feed your creative adrenaline within the third edition of the CINEIMPACT Film Summer Academy, an international program dedicated to Art and Social Cinema taking the innovative form of Creative Documentaries, Docu-Fiction Storytelling, Visual Anthropology and Social Action. The best films produced will be awarded with prizes amounting to 4000 Euro.
The program will take place in Romania’s Câmpulung Muscel region - a field of exceptional socio-cultural landscape offered by the outstanding Carpathian Mountains. The film development area will be centered in the town of Câmpulung, which magically interweaves the diverse experiences of the past century: old-fashioned rurality, aristocratic heritage and post-industrial urbanity, that create a cinematic meeting point of pre- and post- communist society.
The eligible candidates should have experience in one or more of the following fields: film directing, cinematography, editing, visual anthropology, visual arts, visual activism. The candidates can apply for the following Film Production Sections of the summer academy:
1. Art Cinema (films dedicated to Art House Filmmaking)
2. Social Cinema (films dedicated to Social Action Filmmaking)
The best 12 students and professionals, selected based on motivation, experience and creative personalities, will be invited to attend the 15 days of the CINEIMPACT adventure. Through a tailored-made and hands-on filmmaking program, the summer academy will explore innovative methods of CINEMA and IMPACT production, while transgressing the boundaries of fiction, non-fiction, visual anthropology and social activism.
Participants will be guided in this cognitive-creative adventure by three tutors: Ger Duizjings, Vintilă Mihăilescu, Ionuţ Piţurescu. During the field research, development, production and post-production of the films, the participants will be inspired by master-classes held by invited experts. The film crews will be supported by production assistants with deep knowledge of the investigated area. All the 12 authors of the resulting films will be tutored in building optimal distribution strategies for their film projects.

The Focus-Abengoa Foundation is launching the International Painting Prize 2016. The competition is open to any artist over the age of 18 who has not won either first prize or been runner-up in previous editions. The deadline for submissions is 19 September 2016. The total allocated prize money is 24,000 euros to the winner.
The terms and conditions of the Prize are available on the Foundation’s website. We would be grateful if it could be publicised as widely as possible.

NORMAS DE PARTICIPAÇÃO
1 – ENTIDADE PROMOTORA
a) O concurso é organizado pela Câmara Municipal do Barreiro.
2 – OBJETIVO
a) O objetivo deste concurso consiste na procura de novos valores, fomentar, reconhecer, premiar e difundir a criatividade e sentido estético da produção fotográfica contemporânea.
Pretende-se ainda incentivar a produção fotográfica proporcionando a sua apresentação pública.
2 – TEMA
a) O tema do concurso é livre, tendo como objetivo principal fomentar a produção fotográfica não só na sua vertente autoral, mas também na sua vertente artística.
3 – CONDIÇÕES DE PARTICIPAÇÃO
a) A inscrição é gratuita. As fotografias apresentadas devem ser inéditas, nunca tendo sido avaliadas por um júri.
b) Este concurso está aberto a qualquer tendência, abordagem e linguagem fotográfica, sem exceção, permitindo assim que se revelem novos valores e novas perspetivas da Fotografia.
c) A participação está aberta a todos os residentes em Portugal, com idade igual ou superior a 18 anos ou que complete 18 anos até ao final de 2016.
d) Os concorrentes podem apresentar-se individualmente ou em grupo.
e) Os trabalhos a concurso devem fazer-se acompanhar de Memória Descritiva do projeto a concurso, Biografia do Autor, Identificação Pessoal e a Ficha de Inscrição, devidamente preenchida e assinada. Todos os materiais solicitados devem ser entregues também em formato digital. O não envio destes documentos compromete a participação no concurso.
f) Só serão aceites trabalhos em suporte papel, a cores ou a preto e branco, com número mínimo de três e um máximo de cinco fotografias por concorrente, do mesmo formato e com a mesma qualidade de impressão.
g) Só serão aceites suportes fotográficos com as dimensões mínimas de 20x30/20x20 cm e máximas de 30x40/40x40 cm.
h) As fotografias a concurso, bem como a memória descritiva, não devem vir identificadas com o nome do autor.
i) Não deverão ser entregues obras originais. A Câmara Municipal do Barreiro não se responsabiliza por qualquer deterioração, roubo ou perda dos documentos entregues.
j) Cada concorrente deverá declarar na ficha de inscrição a autoria dos trabalhos e que autoriza a sua publicação e exibição, não estando a Câmara Municipal do Barreiro
obrigada a atribuir-lhe qualquer remuneração.
k) As obras devem ser enviadas dentro de envelope fechado, devidamente identificados no verso com o respetivo título e nome do autor.

Students’ accreditation for the 11th Rome Film Fest ( 13 | 23 October ) are now open. The accreditation, for a special price 30 euros, gives access to all the events of the festival. Deadline for application is September 22nd.
